{"id":794,"date":"2026-09-14T08:16:54","date_gmt":"2026-09-14T07:16:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mikom.uniri.hr\/?p=794"},"modified":"2026-09-14T08:16:55","modified_gmt":"2026-09-14T07:16:55","slug":"invited-lecture-by-dr-nikolina-belosevic-at-the-national-professional-conference-for-visual-arts-teachers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mikom.uniri.hr\/?p=794&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Invited Lecture by Dr Nikolina Belo\u0161evi\u0107 at the National Professional Conference for Visual Arts Teachers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the dissemination of the MIKOM project\u2019s research and its broader engagement with the educational and cultural sectors, project team member Dr Nikolina Belo\u0161evi\u0107 delivered an invited lecture entitled <em>\u201cDrawing \u2013 Interlace \u2013 Nation: From a Universal Early Medieval Motif to a Contemporary Sign of Croatian Identity.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lecture was presented at the National Professional Conference for Teachers of Visual Arts, <em>Drawing as a Universal Means of Expression in Visual Art<\/em>, held on 27\u201328 August 2026 at the First Su\u0161ak Croatian Gymnasium in Rijeka. The conference was organized by the Education and Teacher Training Agency and brought together teachers and educators in the field of visual arts from all counties of the Republic of Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lecture addressed the transformation of the interlace motif from a non-figurative decorative form in Early Medieval art into a powerful symbol associated with Croatian cultural and national identity.
