Two lectures related to the theme \u201cStories Behind the Interlace \u2013 Research on the Early Medieval Sculpture of the Kvarner Islands\u201d were held on 7 May 2026 at Moise Palace in the town of Cres as part of the University of Rijeka\u2019s \u201cUNIRI for the People of Cres\u201d programme. The lectures presented the results of research conducted within the project \u201cMaterial, Interpretation, Communication, Memory: Early Medieval Stone Sculpture of the Northern Adriatic \u2013 MIKOM.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Nikolina Belo\u0161evi\u0107 presented new insights into the early medieval sculpture of the Kvarner region, while Dr. Tea Zubin Ferri discussed the methods and results of archaeometric research on the stone materials of the northern Adriatic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
